FBI Sounds Profile
As a youth growing up in Trinidad, DJ FBI was always fascinated with music. When he moved to New York he decided to take his love for music to the next level and become a DJ. First, he needed to choose a name that people will always remember and DJ FBI is what he came up with. FBI stands for First Base International and this name has brought him to a high level of recognition in the Caribbean Night Club and Entertainment Community.
DJ FBI started his career by practicing long hours in his studio, working very hard on my mixing skills that he even missed days from my day-time job. After a few months of non-stop practice, he started dj-ing at house parties, weddings and sweet 16’s. The money he got from those small parties he invested in new equipment such as CD turntables, mixers, amplifiers and speakers. Currently he works with the Denon 3500 and 9000 cd players. He considers himself an Old-School DJ - All his mixes and remixes are done live.
As the years passed by, DJ FBI was getting more experienced, mastering his mixing skills, meeting the top promoters and DJs, getting his name out there. That’s when he knew he was ready for the night club experience and professional levels. FBI was ready to mash it up. His first major gig was dj-ing at the Miami Carnival in 2000. That’s where he felt like a real DJ, playing along side with some of the most famous Soca and Reggae DJs, in front of hundreds of people, representing New York City.
DJ FBI has previously played at some of the hottest Caribbean Nightclubs including: Calypso City (Queens, NY), Club Tobago (Queens, NY), The River (Queens, NY), The Parrot (Queens, NY), Amazura (Queens, NY), Soca City (Brooklyn, NY), Soca City (Queens, NY), Caribbean City (Brooklyn, NYC), Caribbean Tropics(Queens, NY), Roxy Night Club(Manhattan, NY).
He has also performed at Trinidad Carnival, Miami Carnival and Brooklyn Carnival, gaining lots of recognition and appreciation after those big events.
DJ FBI is currently the resident DJ at De River Night Club in Queens, New York.
Today, FBI SOUNDS is a professional DJ business with 10 years of experienced. We cater for all types of parties and events in and out of New York City area. We are well equipped with a massive sound system and lighting.
